October 25, 2025 — Beginning at 8pm on Monday, October 27, the traffic signals at the intersection of Portage Avenue and Cleveland Road will be upgraded. Work will take place overnight and is expected to be completed by 6 am the following morning.
During the upgrade, the existing traffic signals at the intersection will be temporarily out of service. While the signals are inactive, the intersection will operate as a four-way stop. Temporary stop signs with flashing lights will be in place to alert drivers. Motorists are advised to approach the intersection with caution.
The upgrade will include new signal heads, vehicle detection technology and electrical improvements to help traffic flow more smoothly through the intersection.
