South Bend Alive Grant Program

The new SB Alive Grant recipients have been chosen for the upcoming year 2025. Please see the organizations listed below.

SB Alive Grant

South Bend Alive is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to reduce incidents of violence in the community through initiatives that positively impact South Bend’s young people.

The South Bend Alive movement provides grants for community organizations in South Bend to:

  • To keep young people alive and free, unharmed by violence, and free from incarceration.
  • To provide young people with the opportunity and support to build positive lives for themselves and to move into contributing roles in society.

The program, managed by the Office of Community Initiatives, funds community-based programs that provide mentorship for young people, help connect youth with employment training and opportunities, and conduct community outreach and youth engagement activities.

Now in its fifth year, the grant will fund community organizations in South Bend that have a history of positively impacting the community through their youth engagement work.
