June 3, 2025 — The Ireland Road and Ironwood Drive Intersection Improvement Project will move into Phase 5 with construction shifting to the southeast corner of the intersection starting on or after Thursday, June 5.
During this phase, northbound traffic on Ironwood Drive will not be able to turn right onto Ireland Road. A detour will be in place directing traffic north on Ironwood Drive, east on Lincolnway East, then south on Church Street to reconnect with Ireland Road. Lane restrictions will remain in effect for traffic approaching from other directions.
Access to all businesses in the impacted areas will be maintained during construction.
This intersection improvement project includes a full reconstruction of the pavement, curb realignment and upgraded traffic signals. Construction is divided into six phases. Each phase could take up to 21 days to complete, weather permitting. Traffic restrictions and closures will vary as work progresses through each phase. The project is expected to be complete by early July, weather permitting.
