August 29, 2025 – Starting Tuesday, September 2, old US 31 from Kern Road south to city limits will be milled and resurfaced. The street will remain open during paving operations but will be restricted. Once old US 31 is reopened to full traffic, the street will be a three-lane corridor – two travel lanes with a center turn lane. The anticipated completion date is the beginning of October, weather permitting.
