Today, Mayor James Mueller announced his appointment of Katrina Lee as Human Rights Commission Executive Director, effective January 29.

Katrina was born in Memphis, TN but has lived in South Bend for the majority of her life. She graduated from Riley High School and later earned her Associateโs degree in paralegal studies from Indiana University South Bend and Bachelorโs degree in Organizational Management from Bethel University. Katrina is married to Darrick Lee, Sr. and has 3 sons and 4 granddaughters.
Katrina worked for Saint Joseph Health System for 32 years, with most of her experience coming from the Legal and Compliance Department for 26 years as the Director of Legal, Integrity and Privacy. She also conducted investigations and provided compliance and HIPAA training. During her time there, she chaired the Integrity and Compliance Committee, the Providers Compliance Onboarding Committee, and co-chaired the Diversity Council Committee. She also completed SJHSโs management program and Trinity Healthโs Leadership mentor program.
