April 2, 2026 — Beginning Tuesday, April 7, drivers can expect temporary lane restrictions and closures on Ireland Road between Miami Street and Ironwood Drive as part of the Ireland Road Pavement Project. Crews will install new curbs and driveway approaches in select locations in this vicinity. Outside lanes will be closed with traffic shifted to the inside lanes. Restrictions will remain in place through the end of June.
The Ireland Road Pavement Project includes paving a 2.8-mile stretch of Ireland Road from the western city limits to Ironwood Drive. Before paving work can begin, new curbs and driveway approaches need to be completed.
Access to all businesses in the impacted areas will be maintained during construction. Ireland Road will remain open during paving but will be restricted to one-lane in each direction.
The anticipated completion date of the project is the end of June, weather permitting.
