Community Resources in South Bend

South Bend School Corporation

www.sb.school

Located in north central Indiana, South Bend Community School Corporation (SBCSC) is the largest school system in St. Joseph County, and the fourth largest in the state of Indiana. Established in 1867, we are home to over 18,000 students and employ over 3,000 people.

Our employees, families, and community partners instill a passion for lifelong learning, and by working together, we will maintain our focus on children, ensuring excellence, equality, ethics, and engagement for all of our children and their families.

We do everything we can to give students in the school district what they need to graduate ready for college, career, and life in our rapidly evolving global economy. On behalf of the Board of School Trustees and all our staff members, welcome to South Bend Community School Corporation.

St. Joseph County Library

Explore the St. Joseph County Library Website.

At SJCPL, it’s vital for us to anticipate and respond to the changing needs of our community. We read and enjoy films, music and the spoken word in so many ways. If you have a cell phone, tablet, computer or other device, you’re never far from a good book, movie or game that can educate or entertain.

When you enter our spaces, you’ll find each uniquely designed to help you discover what libraries today are about. In the language of author Roald Dahl, your library card is a golden ticket to myriad forms of entertainment, learning opportunities and experiences.
