LaSalle Avenue to Close February 21

February 18, 2022 On Monday, February 21, LaSalle Avenue will be closed at Sycamore Street for AEP to install an underground transmission line. Eastbound traffic will detour south on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, east on Colfax Avenue, then north on St. Louis Boulevard before returning to LaSalle. Westbound traffic will detour south on Niles Avenue, west on Colfax Avenue to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. During construction, access will be maintained to all businesses in the impacted areas. The street is expected to reopen end of day Friday, February 25, weather permitting.
