City Announces Traffic Alerts for Colfax Avenue Starting September 3

The City of South Bend Department of Public Works announces the following traffic alerts for Colfax Avenue. Beginning Tuesday, September 3, Colfax Avenue from Niles Avenue to Sycamore Street will be restricted to one lane in both directions due to utility work for Indiana Michigan Power. Work will also occur on Niles Avenue from Washington Street to LaSalle Avenue. Niles Avenue will remain open, but no street parking will be in effect.
Starting Wednesday, September 4, Colfax Avenue from Niles Avenue to Hill Street will be closed for the installation of a water main. Detour routes will be Niles Avenue and Eddy Street via Jefferson Boulevard. A detour map is attached.
All street closures and lane restrictions will be lifted by the end of day on Friday, September 6.
