City Announces Traffic Alerts Beginning Tuesday, September 10

The City of South Bend Department of Public Works announces the following traffic alerts beginning Tuesday, September 10 due to road and utility work.
Riverside Drive Riverside Drive from Angela Boulevard to Academy Place will be milled and resurfaced from Tuesday, September 10 to Friday, September 13, weather permitting. The street will remain open with flaggers directing one-lane traffic in the construction zone. Motorists should expect delays, especially when crews are working near the Angela Boulevard roundabout.
Walnut Street Starting Wednesday, September 11, Walnut Street between Western Avenue and Huron Street will be closed for the installation of a new water main and sanitary sewer lines as part of the Pulaski Park Improvement Project. Detour routes will be Huron Street and Western Avenue via Harris Street. The anticipated completion date is Friday, September 13, weather permitting.
Beginning Thursday, September 12, Linden Avenue from Mayflower Road to Lombardy Drive will be closed for milling and resurfacing. The anticipated completion date is the end of day on Monday, September 16, weather permitting. Detour routes are Mayflower Road and Lombardy Drive via Western Avenue.
