March 31, 2025 โ The City of South Bend is actively responding to the aftermath of yesterdayโs storm, working diligently to clear streets, public rights-of-way and alleys. Crews are also focused on restoring traffic signals. Drivers encountering an intersection with a non-functioning traffic signal should treat it as a four-way stop until power is restored.
Storm Debris Removal
Homeowners are responsible for clearing storm debris from their private property. Tree debris can be dropped off at the Cityโs Organic Resources facility, located at 4340 Trade Drive. Now through Saturday, April 12, the fee for disposal has been waived for city residents.
Weekday hours at the facility have been extended from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, for the next two weeks. Organic Resources is also open from 9am to 12:45 pm on Saturdays.
Bulky Item Pickup and Yard Waste Extra Pickup
