The City of South Bend is partnering with the United Way of St. Joseph County and the Notre Dame Clinical Law Center to host a housing summit on Friday, January 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Charles Black Recreation Center. The event will feature a welcome from Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 9:00 a.m., and remarks from Notre Dame Clinical Law Professor Judith Fox at 9:15 a.m. and Senator Todd Young at 11:30 a.m.
The summit poses an opportunity to dialogue across sector and issue areas, identifying strengths and weaknesses in current markets and policies. Public officials, not-for-profit leaders, business leaders, and community stakeholders will work together to begin to build concrete action plans for moving toward universal access to safe, sustainable, and affordable housing in St. Joseph County.
