August 5, 2024 — The City of South Bend Department of Public Works announces the following traffic alerts starting Tuesday, August 6, weather permitting.
Angela Boulevard
Beginning Tuesday, August 6, Angela Boulevard from Michigan Street to Leahy Drive will be milled and resurfaced with asphalt. The street will remain open but with restrictions. Due to traffic lanes shifting throughout paving, motorists should expect delays. Paving is expected to be completed by Saturday, August 10, weather permitting.
Prairie Avenue
Also starting Tuesday, August 6, Prairie Avenue from Webster to Oliver streets will be closed for water connection work. The detour route for residents will be Bruce Street via Webster and Oliver streets. The truck route detour will be Olive and Sample streets. Prairie Avenue is expected to reopen end of day Thursday, August 8, weather permitting.
