The FRA has informed the City that all intersections within 60 feet of the gate arm on the Robinson St., Twyckenham Dr., and Leer St. crossings must be closed in order to comply with federal regulations for approved supplemental safety measures.
The locations to be barricaded are:
Prinz Ct. on the east side of Leer St.
Prinz Ct. on the west side of Leer St.
Haney Ave. on the west side of Leer St.
The alley on the east side of Leer St.
Prinz Ct. on the west side of Twyckenham Dr.
Delbert Ct. on the east side of Twyckenham Dr.
Dubail Ave. on the west side of Twyckenham Dr.
The commercial drive southeast of the Robinson St. railroad crossing
While these closures are in effect, the City will evaluate long-term measures that can maintain the Quiet Zone while minimizing inconvenience to residents of the area.
The FRA will inspect these closures at the end of this week in order to verify that the Quiet Zone can be reinstated.
