The SBACC Adoption Experience
SBACC adoption staff are ready and excited to help you find a new addition to your family! Visitors are welcome during our adoption hours to meet the animals and ask our staff questions. Once you are ready to consider adopting, we will talk about your experiences and expectations with pet guardianship. We will share with you what we know about the animal.
You can fill out the Adoption Application at the shelter with our staff or access the form online. Our adoption staff reviews every application and will help you decide if a pet is a match.
Our adopters receive advice and education to help them start out on the right paw with their new pet. We are always here to support our adopters after animals leave our shelter and love to hear how pets are doing in their new home. The first 30 day with a new pet are often the most exciting and challenging, check out these tips on bringing home a new dogor cat.
Adoption Value and Fees
All dogs and cats adopted from SBACC are provided with recommended vaccines; including a rabies vaccine. Adopted pets go to new homes already spayed or neutered and receive an internal microchip identification that is registered to the new owner. The adoption fee also includes a 1-year pet license. The value of our adoption package adds up to $150-$500 worth of services, all included in our affordable adoption fee.
Adoption fees help the shelter care for animals as they wait for their forever home and are payable by cash, check, or credit card at the time of adoption.
$85 for dogs (6 months and older)
$100 for puppies (5 months and younger)
$65 for cat and kittens
