GRAB & GO MEALS FOR SOUTH BEND COMMUNITY SCHOOLS STUDENTS
After the decision to close schools and shift to e-learning beginning Tuesday, March 17, South Bend Community School Corporation is offering Grab & Go meals at 12 sites throughout the school district from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every day school would have otherwise been in session. Students do not have to be present for food to be picked up. Kennedy Academy will provide meals 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. only. For more information on the SBCSC response to COVID-19, click here.

Kroc Center Food Boxes
While the Family Resource Center is closed, food boxes will be available via drive-ups Mondays and Wednesdays, 10am-12pm. To receive food boxes, St. Joseph County residents need to bring an ID or green card. The Kroc Center is located at 900 W Western Ave, South Bend, IN 46601.
Martin’s Super Markets
All Martin’s locations will reserve the hours of 7:00-9:00 a.m. Tuesday 3/24 and Thursday 3/26 for shoppers over the age of 60. Martin’s Pharmacies will open at 8am on March 24th, and 26th.
Martin’s “Groceries to Go” service is waiving the shopping fee for seniors placing orders beginning March 22 through March 31. Wednesday, March 25 will be a designated “Seniors Only” order day. Complete details are available at https://martinsgroceriestogo.com.
Martin’s has put in place limits on some items including milk, eggs, bread, paper towel, toilet paper, and certain meat products.
Youth Service Bureau
The Youth Service Bureau assists youth under 21 years of age who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
The Youth Service Bureau has expanded their Drop–In Center hours to 12p.m. – 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and will operate as a “quick” drop in with to-go lunches and hygiene supplies. St Vincent de Paul Food Boxes
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is distributing boxes of food to families in need via drive through every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am – Noon, while supplies last. Distribution will take place at the SVDP Center, 520 Crescent Avenue, South Bend, IN 46617.
Those in need must bring a picture ID. Families can receive a box every 30 days.

Success Academy
Grab and Go Lunches will be served at Success Academy for all students under 18 years old on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11a.m. – 12 p.m. Enter the Academy through Door B. Success academy is located at 3408 Ardmore Trail, South Bend, IN 46628.
Catholic Charities Food Pantry
Catholic Charities’ Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 10am-12noon and 5pm-7pm. The Pantry is located at 1817 Miami Street in South Bend. In response to COVID19, the lobby will be closed. Food bags will be prepacked and handed off at the door to limit exposure and expedite services. An application for financial assistance can be found here.
Food Bank of Northern Indiana
The Community Food Pantry of St. Joseph County is open Monday and Friday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Beginning Wednesday, March 25, 2020, the Community Food Pantry of St. Joseph County will operate a drive-through model distribution until further notice. Items will be pre-bagged and pre-boxed. You are asked to remain in your vehicle. There will be a designated area for walk-up shoppers. La Casa de Amistad
The food pantry at La Casa de Amistad will continue to operate on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 4:45 p.m where they will hand out boxed lunches. During this time, the once-a-month restriction is lifted, which will allow any family to have access to food every week through the food pantry. A hand sanitizing station will be set up outside of the pantry area. La Casa is looking for community volunteers to help and request interested parties contact Jurek at jurek@lacasadeamistad.org. With enough volunteers, the food pantry will offer curbside pickup. The La Casa food pantry is located at 746 S. Meade Street, South Bend, IN 46619.

Purple Porch Co-op At-Risk Shopping
Purple Porch Co-op is dedicating two hours a week for high-risk customers to shop for groceries and other supplies. At-Risk Shopping will be held on Wednesdays from 8am-10am and is limited to customers over 65 years of age or with serious medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, or lung disease. The PPC staff will make sure the store is fully sanitized and have deliveries fully stocked in advance so that those at risk have equal availability to essentials. St. Margaret’s House
St. Margaret’s House will be serving sack lunches from the parking lot, Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. – 1:30pm. St. Margaret’s House is located at117 N Lafayette Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601.
Wings Over South Bend
Wings Over South Bend is providing free kids meals to any child in grades K-12 Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Each meal includes two chicken tenders and a side of fries. Wings Over South Bend is located at 1124 E Angela Blvd #101, South Bend, IN 46617.
REAL Services, Inc.
REAL Services continues to provide Meals on Wheels services to those in need while taking special precautions. Clients receive one or two meals a day Monday through Friday (or any combination of days). For information about signing up for the Meals on Wheels program call 574-256-1649. Nutrition Sites are still serving meals by distributing take-home meals for clients. Clients cannot congregate at nutrition sites. More information about nutrition sites is available here.
