The City of South Bend and local partners will host an update to the South Bend’s My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Community Challenge at the Charles Black Community Center on Wednesday, May 15 at 6:00 p.m. The update will consist of a panel discussion on how to address opportunity gaps and drive systemic change for boys and young men of color. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with local partners at breakout tables following the panel.
The City first rolled out the My Brother’s Keeper Community Challenge in December 2016. Since then, Beacon Health System’s Community Impact has managed the initiative as an anchor organization. Over a dozen local partners have accepted the challenge to remove barriers and assist boys and young men of color in the South Bend community.
The event is free and open to the public. Those who plan to attend and would like to submit questions can RSVP at http://evite.me/3ct22bRK18.
