Today the City of South Bend announced the renaming of the board that oversees minority and women-owned business enterprise contracting.
Formerly called the Minority Business Enterprise/Women Business Enterprise Utilization Board, the body is now called the Inclusive Procurement and Contracting Board.
The board has also been restructured as a result of the 2019 Minority and Women Business Enterprises ordinance. The restructure expands the number of board members from 9 to 11. The members serve two-year terms.
The board members are:
-Takesha McClane, appointed by the South Bend Common Council
-Bilijah Williams, appointed by the South Bend Common Council
-Rachel Tomas Morgan, appointed by the South Bend Common Council
-Juan Hernandez, appointed by Mayor James Mueller
-Michael Morris, appointed by Mayor James Mueller
-Breanna Allen, appointed by Mayor James Mueller
-Jeff Rea, appointed by the South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce
-Alkeyna Aldridge, the appointed by the South Bend Department of Community Investment or their designee
-Larry King, Program Administrator
-Kara Boyles, appointed by the director of Public Works
-Murray Miller, appointed by the Mayor and Common Council
