Mayor Pete Buttigieg has named Denise Linn Riedl as Chief Innovation Officer for the City of South Bend.
Riedl joins the City from the City Tech Collaborative in Chicago, IL. She previously worked at the Smart Chicago Collaborative and the Federal Communications Commission. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and a Master of Public Policy degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Riedl co-chairs the National Digital Inclusion Alliance Inclusive Smart City Working Group and is a Fellow with the Benton Foundation. She will start as CIO on February 11.
