THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND BECAME ENROLLED IN THE AARP AGE-FRIENDLY NETWORK OF COMMUNITIES IN OCTOBER 2021.
This enrollment demonstrates South Bend’s commitment to assessing and improving the city’s friendliness to residents and visitors of all ages.
The City of South Bend and St. Joseph County joined age-friendly initiatives to create the South Bend Regional AARP Age-Friendly Initiative.
In the news
Listening Session on Saturday, February 18th from 9-10:30 a.m. at One Roof Southeast (Southeast Neighborhood Center) to discuss the experiences and needs of older adult residents in the city and county. The session will focus on information, communication, and social participation, some of AARP’s designated “8 Domains of Livability.”
Mayor James Mueller and other local elected officials will be in attendance.
Coffee and donuts will be provided.
