New Traffic Closures and Restrictions for Ironwood Drive
On Friday, June 8, traffic patterns on the Ironwood Drive Pavement Rehabilitation and Intersection Project are expected to change. Work has been completed on
Ironwood Drive from Edison Road to Oak Park Drive and the two south lanes will reopen to traffic; however, the two north lanes on Edison will now be closed.
Traffic restrictions and closures for the Ironwood/Edison intersection are as follows:
– East and westbound traffic on Edison Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Traffic will not be able to turn north onto Ironwood Drive.
– Ironwood Drive will be closed at Edison Road. Southbound traffic on Ironwood Drive will not be able to cross Edison Road.
As part of this project, the intersection of Ironwood Drive and Edison Road will undergo reconstruction of approximately 600 feet of concrete pavement and signal modernization, including new poles and traffic lights. Ironwood Drive has also been paved from Corby Boulevard to Edison Road.
The project is expected to be completed by Labor Day.
